The sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do.
Oleta Vineyard has produced several award-winning varietals, including four Gold Medals and one Silver Medal at the 2019 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
Barbera
Barbera is a very vigorous grape variety that can produce high yields (up to 5 tons/acre). Barbera is the third most widely planted red grape variety in Italy though it is most common in the Asti and Alba regions.
Barbera grapes produce rich, red wines with strong fruit flavors and aromas.
Zinfandel
Zinfandel is a versatile blue-black grape that allows for the creation of a range of wines. It’s been grown on the West Coast for over a hundred years.
Amador County has a reputation for producing big full-bodied Zinfandel wines with robust flavors and aromas of berries
Red Zinfandel wines are characterised by a dark colour with notes of spices and pepper.
Grenache
Grenache wines have flavors and aromas of strong fruit, raspberries, and a bit of spice.
